Beverage Manager

The Beverage Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall management, leadership, and administration of all beverage services/front house staff at Duffers Den.

The ideal candidate would be:

• A strong communicator.
• Energetic and don’t mind wearing multiple hats.
• Well organized, flexible, and enjoy the challenges of supporting a diverse group of people.
• Experienced in handling a wide range of personalities and temperaments.
• Holding a strong focus on customer service.
• Having previous experience in the beverage/and or food industry-preferably in a golf club environment.
• A problem solver.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Manage recruitment and selection of employees.
• Scheduling all serving/front end staff.
• Ordering and keeping an inventory of beverage inventory and cleaning supplies.
• Ensuring that employees have appropriate education to be qualified to work in the restaurant.
• Develop and prepare policies and procedures for the restaurant/front of house.

Experienced Cook

Duffer’s Den is currently looking for experienced Cook to join our team. This is a full-time year-round position in a busy kitchen. Previous kitchen management experience preferred. Catering & banquet experience considered an asset.

The ideal Candidate would be:
-Positive and Energetic.
-Attentive to Detail.
-Organized and able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
-Capable of being on their feet for extended periods of time.
-Able to manage time and tasks accordingly.
-A team player that has experience working with a diverse group of people.
-A problem solver.
-Up to date with Food Safe Certification.
-Experienced with at least 2-3 years of being a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
-Purchasing, inventory control, staffing, and menu development including cost control.
-Executing all menu items while meeting our expectations of high-quality presentation.
– Must have experience with preparing menus-including buffet style for large scale events.
-Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
-Ability to supervise between 5-10 people.
-Maintaining a well stocked and organized work area.
-Maintain cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

Prep Cooks

Duffer’s Den is looking for Prep Cooks!! We’re looking to fill 2 Year-Round, Full-Time positions.

The ideal candidate(s) would be:

– Knowledgeable of health and safety rules in a kitchen
-Positive.
-Knowledgeable of basic cooking techniques.
-Experienced in time management.
-Clean and organized.
-Patient.
-Attentive to detail.
– A strong communicator.
-Able to work under pressure.
-Up to date with Food Safe Certification.

Duties would include but are not limited to:
-Performing routine kitchen tasks.
-Following the prep list created to plan duties.
-Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
-Measuring ingredients to be used in cooking.
-Preparing the cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
-Ensuring that all food and other items are stored properly.
– Complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
– Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

Servers

Duffers Den is currently looking for Server(s) to join our team! This would be a Full Time or Part Time positions(s) as we are open all year round.

Job duties would include but are not limited to:

• Serving guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Presenting ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Maintaining dining ambiance with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Protecting establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Transmitting orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices and identifying guests’ special dietary needs and special requests.
• Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.

The ideal candidate(s) would be:

• Energetic.
• A good communicator.
• A team player.
• Professional.
• Previously experienced in the food and beverage industry
• Up to date with Serving it Right certification.
• Experienced in bartending. This is considered and asset but not necessary-we will train the right individual!
